The exhibit was at Rural Retreat Fairgrounds, in Rural Retreat VA, from Sept. 3 - 14, 2008. Almost 3,400 people toured the exhibit during the twelve days it was there. Messiah's Mansion is a life-size replica of the Mosaic Sanctuary - the tabernacle that the Israelites carried with them as they traveled from Egypt to the Promised Land. This tent was where the visible presence of God dwelt at the center of the Israelite camp. It was eventually replaced by the temple that King Solomon built in Jerusalem. The ceremonies and sacrifices of the Jewish nation, which were performed in this tabernacle, were designed to point forward to Jesus Christ. He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He is also the fulfillment of the rest of the ceremonial law. The Messiah's Mansion tour guides will explain the meaning of the many symbols and ceremonies, showing how they foreshadowed Christ's life and death - and the work He is doing now as our High Priest in Heaven.
